Poha (Kanda Pohe)
Poha also known as Kanda Pohe is made of processed flattened rice, roasted with chilies, onions, mustard and cumin seeds and curry leaves. It is a high carbohydrate, low fat, quick meal that can be made in minutes.
                 

Ingredients:

    1/2 kg Poha(Flattened rice)
    1 onion(Finely chopped)
    1/2 tsp Mustard
    1 tsp Cumin
    1/4 tsp Hing
    1 tsp Turmeric
    3-4 curry leaves
    3-5 green chilies(chopped)
     2 tsp Peanuts  
    1-2 spoon oil
    Salt to taste
    1 tablespoon sugar
    Lemon
    Chopped cilantro, desiccated ​​coconut.


Method:


1. In a sieve add poha and water to be soaked. Once the water has drained, add some salt and sugar.


2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, turmeric powder.


3. Now add curry leaves, chili pieces and peanuts. then add some onion and stir again. Stir until onion is golden brown.


4. Once the onion is cooked, add the soaked poha to it. And mix well. Steam over medium heat.

let it steam for a few minutes.


5.While serving, squeeze lemon on it and add chopped cilantro and desiccated ​​coconut on top.


Tips:
1.Sprinkle some water if needed and add salt if needed.

2.tomatoes are also nice in poha. When the onion is cooked, add the chopped tomatoes.
