Spinach curry recipe in English

Ingredients - 
  • Fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup Chana dal
  • 1 tsp. mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds
  • Garlic and Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp. Dhania powder (coriander powder)
  • 1 tsp. turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp. red chili powder
  • 1-2 chili
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tsp. Gram flour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp. oil for tempering
  • Coriander leaves finely chopped
Method :
  1. Add chopped spinach, peanuts and chana dal and chili in pressure cooker and cook giving 1 whistle.
  2. Now in cooked spinach add gram flour, salt and whisk well.
  3. Heat oil in a cooking pot, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds. As both seeds crack up add garlic paste, Fry till the garlic turns light brown.
  4. Add ginger paste, turmeric, dhania powder and red chili powder.
  5. Add tomato and cook for 3-4 minutes. 
  6. Now add the spinach mixture and add a cup (or more) of water to reduce the consistency. (consistency thicken in the end) Bring it to boil.
  7. Serve hot with coriander leaves and Rice or chapati.
