Dhapate is type of Maharashtrian roti /paratha made by using multi grain flours, herbs and spices.
2 cups jowar flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup gram flour
8-10 garlic cloves crushed or mashed well
1 teaspoon carom seeds(Ajwain)
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
coriander leaves (finely chopped)
Water
1 cup curd
as needed Oil
to taste Salt
Method :

Method :
- Place all the flours in a large bowl by sieving it once
- Add the onions, carom, coriander leaves, garlic, sesame seeds and dry spices one by one
- Mix well and then add the curd and salt
- Add adequate water to make a soft dough
- Keep the dough rested covered for 10 minutes (Remember the dough will have a different consistency from the roti dough, because of the lower gluten content. The other grains do not have so much gluten.)
- Post the resting period, grease your palms and make large lemon sized balls of the dough
- Heat a teaspoon of oil on a non stick pan and start to roll one dough ball into a disc as thin as possible (using some flour to dust)
- Once done, place the dhapate on the pan and cook like normal parantha till both sides show brown spots
- Prepare all the dhapates the same way
- Serve immediately after cooking them accompanied with pickles/curd.

1 चमचा लाल तिखट
1/2 चमचा हळद
1/2 चमचे तीळ
कोथिंबीर बारीक चिरलेली
पाणी
1 कप दही
तेल
मीठ
पद्धत:
- सर्व पीठ चाळून एका मोठ्या भांड्यात घ्या
- त्यात कांदा, ओवा, कोथिंबीर, लसूण, तीळ आणि कोरडे मसाले घाला
- नंतर दही आणि मीठ घालुन चांगले मिसळून घ्यावे
- मऊ पीठ तयार करण्यासाठी पुरेसे पाणी घाला
- कणिक 10 मिनिट ठेवा
- 10 मिनिट नंतर पिठाचे लिंबाच्या आकाराचे मोठे गोळे बनवा
- तवा गरम करा आणि पोळपाटावर किंवा परातीत भाकरी थापतो तसं धपाटं थापून घ्या. आणि तव्यावर चांगले तेल लावून भाजून घ्या
- सर्व धापाटे याच प्रकारे तयार करा आणि लोणचे / दही सोबत गरम गरम खायला दया .
