Chilli pickle recipe is a tasty, instant Indian style pickle made with fresh long green chillis, Indian spices like mustard, hing and turmeric, mustard oil.

Ingredients :
  • 1/2 kg of green chilies
  • 2 tbsp salt or to taste 
  • 1/2 cup mustard powder (red mustard) 
  • 1/4 tbsp hing 
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric 
  • 2-3 lemon
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil 
Method:
  1. Cut chilies in half or 2 inches.
  2. Cut lemons in large slices.
  3. Add salt, hing, mustard powder, turmeric in a bowl.
  4. Now heat oil in a pan and once the oil is heated, pour it over the mustard powder mixture(step 3).
  5. Once the masala is combined, let it cool. then add chilies and lemon slices. Mix it well.
  6.  In a clean and dry glass vessel, add this chili pickle. 
  7. Let it sprout for 4 to 5 days.
Tip:
  • keep shaking glass vessel(chilies pickle container) every day for 3-4 days.
  • make sure that always keep container closed tightly.
